His Excellency Mr. Hassan Mohamed Zaid, Minister of Youth and Sports attended this morning the closing ceremony of the activation of the Chess Championship for the Deaf 2019, which was held in the closed gym at Balqees Sports Club during the period: 15-18 / 11/2019.
At the closing ceremony, HE Zaid gave a speech in which he praised the General Federation of Deaf Sports and its leadership and deaf players and the achievements of the Federation and its players at the local and foreign levels.
Mr. Ahmed Abdul Khaleq Al Qamraa delivered a speech at the closing ceremony in which he thanked the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Welfare Fund and the Disabled Welfare and Rehabilitation Fund for the attention and support they provide to the Yemeni deaf sport.
The President of the Federation pointed out in his speech that despite the political circumstances that the country is going through which prevented a number of provinces of the Republic from participating in the tournament, but we nevertheless challenged these circumstances and established this tournament and we will continue to hold tournaments for all sports games practiced by deaf young men and women And qualifying, training and preparing the players of the national teams of Deaf sports in preparation for external participation at the continental and global levels and to represent Yemen honorably and achieve sports achievements.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports honored the winners of the tournament in the first three places of the men's and women's categories with cups, medals and financial prizes.
