(The leadership of the Ministry of Youth motivates our country's deaf team participating in the Asian Championship)
Within the tangible interest of the Ministry of Youth in sports and athletes these days, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Mr. Ali Hussein Hadban, visited the headquarters of the Yemeni Federation for Deaf Sports and reviewed the sports activities implemented by the Federation under the leadership of Captain Ahmed Abdulkhaleq Al-Qamra, President of the Federation, which included a group of games, most notably the game of chess, in which the Federation participated through a male and female player, in addition to two players participating in running competitions within athletics over distances of 100 meters and 200 meters, all of whom are from the deaf category, in the tenth session of the Asia-Pacific Games for the Deaf, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the period from December 1 to 9, 2024 AD.
Hadban praised the sports movement carried out by the Federation, which achieved many advanced positions, both Arab and international. The athletes were visited by the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Nasr Salah, while the players were receiving their training on the late Ahmed Al-Ra’ini track. Mr. Nasr and a number of leaders of the Ministry of Youth praised the efforts of the Federation and the readiness of the players to compete through the training they received within the internal camp led by coach Fouad Ali Abbad over the course of a whole month, wishing the players to obtain advanced positions in this championship in which the flag of our country is raised high in the sports field, just like the Yemenis’ superiority in all games that have presented many champions.
