Today, Friday, 3/10/2023, the Yemeni Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Adel Muhammad Bahumid, honored the Yemeni deaf national team player "Manal Ali Al-Ashoul" in appreciation of the distinguished role that the player presented in the Asia-Pacific Deaf Chess Championship, which was held in Jordan from February 21-28, 2023, where the player "Manal Ali Al-Ashoul" achieved fourth place at the individual level in the Women's Rapid Chess Championship, and in the Rapid Chess Championship, the player won fifth place, as "Al-Ashoul" presented a distinguished level in the championship, in addition to being one of the most prominent players with disabilities in Yemen in the game of chess and achieved advanced positions in chess championships organized by the Yemeni Deaf Sports Federation at the internal level.
"Al-Ashoul" has been in Malaysia to study there for years, to prepare a doctoral thesis at the University of Malaya UM, specializing in medical parasitology.
In honoring with a certificate of thanks and appreciation on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, to the player "Manal Al-Ashwal".
Ambassador "Bahumid" praised what Al-Ashwal presented, saying (Manal is a wonderful model of steadfastness, determination, will and insistence on success. She amazed me with her determination to participate despite all the obstacles and difficulties, even a few days before traveling, until she achieved what she wanted, so she participated and recorded her wonderful presence and achieved fifth place. I wish you, Manal, all the best in your studies, personal and professional life. This certificate of appreciation that we have given you today is nothing but the least duty in the name of all of Yemen, whose flag you raised and represented in the most beautiful way).
