Election of Yemen to the Arab Committee for Deaf Sports
Yemen was elected to the Arab Committee for Deaf Sports During the period from 25 to 28 September 2005 the founding meeting of the committee organized by the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Special Sports, which ended today the election of Ahmad Abda Khaliq Al-Qamrai from Yemen, a member of the technical committee in the Middle East and Abdul Karim from Iraq, The Chairman of the Arab Commission for the Deaf Authority and Chairman of the Arab Commission for the Middle East, Mr. Said Al-Qahtani, While Odeh Yousuf (Jordan) was elected vice president for the Middle East
At the closing session of the meeting, the participants discussed the regulations for the establishment of the committee. The first board was elected through direct elections with the principle that the Deaf will assume their responsibilities by electing a number of them with high communication capabilities to represent them in different Arab regions.
In the African-Arab region, Madoun Mohamed (Algeria) was elected as vice president and Hanan Mohsen (Egypt) as Secretary of the Chamber and Abu Aqla (Sudan) as Chairman of the Technical Committee.
