The 2nd Refreshment Open Olympic Shooting Championship from 28 November to 1 December 2020

The Yemeni Deaf Sports Federation players participated in the Open Activation Olympic Shooting Championship in its second edition organized by the General Shooting Federation for the Martyr Hassan Zaid Cup in the Pistol and Rifle Weapons, whose competitions were held over a period of four days at the shooting hall at the headquarters of the General Shooting Federation in the capital, Sana'a,

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and financing the Youth, Youth and Sports Welfare Fund, with the participation of nearly 200 athletes and players, including 10 Deaf players.

The Federation’s participation in the championship came as a result of the efforts made by the Federation’s administration in expanding the base of playing sports among youth and deaf athletes, with the aim of adding new sports games to the various sports practiced by deaf athletes in our country, in addition to gaining experience for deaf players through participation and contact with normal players. In various sports in order to prepare them for local and international participations and tournaments.

The participation of Al-Ittihad players in this tournament is the first of its kind, and the deaf players achieved advanced results and positions that astonished the attendees and participants in the tournament.
